Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for the NBH Future Energy Leaders – Scholarship and Career Development Program, undergraduate applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:
- Must be a Bahraini national
- Must be a student in Grade 11 (high school) at the time of application
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 95% or equivalent
- Minimum 97% in core subjects, as specified in the application portal
- Intend to pursue studies in an approved university and major in the priority disciplines listed in the application portal
- Demonstrate active participation in extracurricular activities
Meeting the minimum application requirements does not guarantee selection. Final scholarship awards are entirely at the discretion of the NBH Future Energy Leaders selection committee.
Application Requirements
Applicants must complete the online application and submit the following documents:
- Official transcript for all available semesters
- Copy of valid national ID (front and back) and passport
- Recent passport size photo

Selection Process
The selection process for undergraduate applicants is outlined below:
- Phase 1 | Application & Academic Screening (June – July 2026): Applications are reviewed to ensure all minimum requirements are met.
- Phase 2 | Assessment & Orientation Session (July 2026): Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend an orientation session and participate in assessments evaluating their academic readiness, competencies, and overall potential.
- Phase 3 | Development Program (August 2026): Selected candidates will participate in a development program focused on building essential academic, professional, and personal skills through workshops and organizational activities.
- Phase 4 | University Applications and Offers (April 2027): Candidates are required to secure conditional offers from an approved university and complete all related application requirements.
- Phase 5 | Final Selection (June 2027): Candidates who meet all performance requirements will be selected for the scholarship subject to passing health screening.

- Eligibility and acceptance: All scholarship offers are provisional. Applicants must meet the specific selection, academic, and documentation requirements of their respective track. Bapco Energies reserves the right to reevaluate or withdraw any scholarship conditional offer if the criteria is not maintained.
- Final Selection: Meeting the minimum application requirements does not guarantee selection. Final scholarship awards are entirely at the discretion of the NBH Future Energy Leaders selection committee.
- Program Modifications: Bapco Energies reserves the sole right to alter, amend, and/or restructure the program requirements, partners lists, approved tracks and majors, and career placement tracks to align with the Company’s priorities and with changing energy sector needs.
- Honest Disclosure: All information, test results, transcripts, recommendation letters, and scholarship essays submitted through the NBH Future Energy Leaders portal must be fully accurate, truthful, and complete. Falsification, omissions, or plagiarized text will cause immediate disqualification from the selection process or retroactive revocation of the active scholarship.
- Original Work Requirement: All application essays and short answer responses must be your own original work. The use of generative AI to draft, write, or restructure content is strictly prohibited. All submissions will be screened using advanced AI-detection technologies; any application flagged for verified for plagiarism or AI-generated content will be immediately and irreversibly disqualified.
